350 turboglide transmission any good?

I have a GM automatic 350 turbo glide transmission that has been sitting for about 6 years. I got it with the engine I bought sbc 350. I dumped a bunch of money into the engine in a rebuild/upgrade and want to possibly install this into my 62 Impala. What are the chances of this being any good? The matching engine only had about 60k for mileage. I'm tapped out on funds for a bit and wondering if this is worth installing without a rebuild. Of coarse I would do a fluid and filter change.
