Marketing Strategies for Website?

I have recently completed a website called http://www.themilliondirhamhomepage.com which is basically modelled after the world-famous http://www.themilliondollarhomepage.com. This website will focus on advertisers from Dubai and the Middle East region predominantly. So far, I have thought of advertising in the local newspaper 2 or 3 times, followed by banner ads on popular local sites. In addition, I will also use contacts such as Marketing Managers to get some 'good names' on the website for free of cost, but in the long-term the idea of this project is to make money. As such, I would appreciate if people could give their own input into some good marketing strategies to get this website fully filled up and make a profit.
