Christians and anyone else?
It is interesting how some more mainland aztec cities were destroyed isn't it? How (and you can look this up) in some mainland aztec cities invaders came in a killed everyone with blunt weapons, but the odd thing is anything of value was left untouched except for the destruction of statues of gods the aztecs worshiped. There were still monumental amounts of jade and feathers left (feathers were very valuable) in the palaces. That is interesting isn't it. People have thought of it as a sacrificial slaughter, but who could really do that to the number one power in the new world. It sure wasn't the Inca. They weren't near the aztecs, besides a huge (very visible to archaeologists) war would have broken out. The tribes around the cities hated the aztecs leaders enough, but they would have taken most of the valuables. That only leaves the aztecs themselves, they could have, but there was absolutely no evidence of such happenings, that would be more likely than the other reasons I stated because they may have supposedly needed a m sacrifice. The aztecs had fallen on some very bad times for awhile, like warnings. It got even worse after people from the old world came and you get the rest. Think of how easy it was for the old worlders to take the new world, wouldn't it have been harder if there were still cities back in the tropical forests? I think it was God's doing. Mabye God tried reaching the aztec in futile attempts. The bad times were after jewish christians began spreading the faith to genitiles (I mean God may have tried reaching them not that missionaries spread the faith before the new world was discovered) and before the new world was touched by the old world (unless you count the possibility of vikings reaching there first, which wouldn't have mattered because the extremely small amount of vikings would have hit in canada or east coest U.S.). It was daily that so called heathens were killed for a sacrificial type soccer game or as a gift to the fake gods so anyone who followed a new faith and tried to spread it wouldn't last long. So was it possible it was God's doing to destroy the Aztec? Just a thought, no one else has a better idea.
