I guess youre not stupid, you cant help who you fall for. Maybe its just lust. Love is a deep emotional connection. You cant ''love'' someone because of the way they look. Yes, you may LOVE the way they look but that doesnt mean you truely love them. Like you said, you never really spoke to him therefore you cant be in love.
