I had a punto for a while, it was a nice car and drove well. However the clutch went after a while (a problem common with mk2s). I also had problems with the starter motor not engaging. My mechanic friend tells me that 'gunk' had got into it which stopped a vital cog engaging with the starter motor. A bit of a hit with a large spanner in the right place was a short term solution. Nice car to drive, but I recommend getting a newer one to avoid reliability problems (mainly avoid mk2s that haven't had the clutch replaced already).
