How do I go about becoming a private investigator?
I am a 22 year old male. Currently, I am attending community college studying computer science (computer programming to be more specific). I've always been interested In software design and development because I love to learn how things work. I also have a very deep interest in computer security and the inner workings of mechanical things in general. However, I've also had a deep interest in criminology. The other day, I had been running ideas around in my head about how I could bring my skills together into a certain profession. I know that i do not want to sit in a cubicle for my life writing code. But I feel that I could use all my skills to pursue a career in private investigation. I am not interested in becoming a police officer for several reasons, but I truly would like to know how to get into the field of P.I. work. Is there a course i need to take, a school i need to attend, or an exam i need to p? Any suggestions on books to read would also be greatly appreciated. Anyone who can help me out here to put me on the road towards becoming a PI i will greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!
