How long did it take to get a death certificate?

My husband ped away December 23, 2009, and we still don't have the autopsy results. He died in Georgia, while working out of town, and as a construction worker, was staying in a cheap motel. We have the toxicology reports, which were negative for anything, and the coroner has stated that they believe it's natural causes (he had a hyper-active thyroid), but the state is taking so long to do the autopsy. His body was taken to the state medical examiner's offices, where they've taken samples of all organs due to the fact that he was cremated. What is the longest you've heard of and a general situation. I keep getting told that it's a low priority since he appeared to die of natural causes (not murdered), and that the state has had budget cuts. My first husband's death certificate was available the day after the funeral (not my 1st time being widowed) The bank is foreclosing on our home since I can't prove he died.
