I'd like to have some advice?

I met him 4 months ago, developed a crush on him and I think he had the same feelings but when I confessed he told me that he sees me only as a friend. After that, I wrote him a small letter telling that it's ok, we can stay friends. I was rather embarred to speak to him in person. When we met again, he told me again that he rejects me in a rude manner although I thought the case was closed. So I told him that he gave me mixed signals, that he's a player (he flirted wildly with me, blushed whenever he saw me, etc.), told him he's an *****le and showed him the door. Now he gives me the silent treatment, may days have ped since he started (but less than a month). Problem is we live very, very close to each other and I might stumble on him (this hasn't happenned yet but it will sooner or later). Problem also is that I still have feelings for him and that I miss his company although I think he's a jerk. I know I'm not perfect either and I hurt his feelings but I wouldn't do to him what he does to me. I apologized once, outside his door. I don't want to be humiliated but crave for his company as a friend. So I ignore him because I think he wants to hurt me and so far he has succeeded. I also know I should move on so I try to keep myself busy. What should I do from now on? What to do if I meet him by chance? Shall I speak to him or not? Thanks in advance.
