Starbursts, halos, glare, 17 years old.?

Yes, it could be the cause. I have dry eyes myself and I have periodically experienced star bursts, halos, and light sensitivity. For me, they occur when my eyes are especially dry after a long period of inactivity and my eyelids start sticking to my eye. I have to be very careful when I blink. Eye drops do help but you have to keep taking them. This is not something that is likely to go away by itself.
