What happens to seal poop?

So maybe it settles on the bottom. Does it liquefy? Does it fossilize? Does it vanish due to bioactivity? What happens when cruise ships dump their septic waste? I know it's a childish question but I have also found that the odder the question, the better chance I have of getting answers (except in the avaition category, where answers are guaranteed.)
