Why didn't Bush say he didn't care where Bin Laden was after only 6 months?

Bush blew it at Tora Bora, and OBL's trail went cold. Finding OBL after he escaped from Tora Bora proved difficult, so Bush decided to remove the focus from Afghanistan and invaded Iraq instead. Those who would re-write history to make it seem as if Bush was deeply involved in the hunt for OBL can't fool those of us who lived through those times, we remember it all too clearly.
